Surprising to the core: At the heart of our concert lies the theme of surprise, infusing every moment with anticipation and excitement. From unexpected comedic interludes, spatial manipulations, clever staging, and even some balloons (?) each piece promises a unique twist. Join us for a symphonic journey where surprises abound, inviting you to embrace the unknown and revel in the magic of the moment.
Artistic exchange: Expect some surprise guest performers from all over the Ottawa art scene. SHHH!! Ensemble a dynamic percussion-piano duo, takes us for a musical joy ride; Voices Dance Project invites you to a sultry dance party; and sing along with the good company of the Bytown Sea Shanty Collective.
A smashing success: We will take unconventional instrumentation to the next level. In addition to invisible drums, and the rhythmic clang of metal trash cans, our performance will showcase a daring act of creativity: the smashing of pottery from the esteemed artisans of the Ottawa Potters Guild. These sacrificial pieces are offered up in the name of art!
