The first artist featured in our Pride Spotlight is Steven Reineke!

Image sourced from the TSO’s “Meet the Orchestra” article on Reineke

Reineke is an American conductor, composer, and arranger. A leading conductor of popular music, Reineke developed his musical talents at an early age, and went on to earn two Bachelors degrees from Miami University in trumpet performance and music composition.

Mr. Reineke is presently the Music Director of the New York Pops, and holds the position of Principal Pops Conductor with the Houston Symphony, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Reineke has collaborated with leading musical artists of all genres, from Common to Ben Folds. In 2015, Kendrick Lamar performed selections from his album “To Pimp a Butterfly” with the National Symphony Orchestra, arranged and conducted by Reineke. We hope you vibe with Reineke’s interpolation of “These Walls” as much as we did!
