Come support the future of Canadian music with the Ottawa Pops Orchestra’s New Works Project, part of our Chamber Series. This second iteration, following our 2021 debut, transforms the traditional chamber music experience into something refreshingly casual and engaging. Held at the laid-back Rainbow Bistro, an indie music venue known for its vibrant atmosphere, this concert features a selection of original works by emerging Canadian composers.
The pieces are chosen from a national call for scores, focusing on composers under 35 and selected by a blind committee. This year’s criteria emphasize creating music that resonates with audiences new to classical traditions.
